I've had this one stuck in my head for a few months, but I've been distracted with horse manips. I finally felt like finishing this one...
For those of you unfamiliar with Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, I'll just briefly let you know that this scene is portraying Claire's time-separation from Jamie. She's traveled back to 1965, while he is in 1765, about to go to his death (or so they both assume) at the battle of Culloden, Scotland. They both experienced extreme grief at this parting, so I tried to show just a glimpse of each in a moment of sadness. I intentionally added a brighter white light in the center, to sort of give it the time-travel flash to the future feel. On Jamie's side of the image, I added some warriors, since he is supposed to be joining battle shortly, as well as made the sky different on both images. I want people to know this is the same country, just different times, which is why it's raining on Claire. So, if you're a fan, or even if you aren't, let me know what you think of this piece! If things aren't 100% accurate (like Jamie's plaid should be red) that's because I had to work with the stock I had. I look forward to any comments! I totally noticed the army behind Jamie and thought that was a neat effect! I also loved the rain, and the way the woman is kneeling on the ground -- great use fo stock!
I love this manipulation, fantastic!!

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true;
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face.
